About Eugene Souleiman
Eugene Souleiman is one of the most influential hair stylists today. From two-foot long aquamarine fishtails to wigs styled with molten wax, the extreme beauty of Eugene’s creations make him a master innovator. Always with lightness, humour and a unique perspective, his work continuously sets new boundaries of what is possible, challenging conventions and over time setting a new vocabulary for hair styling at large.
His career began in 1982, when by chance, a job placement centre led him to become an apprentice hairdresser. Eugene Souleiman learnt his craft working closely with Trevor Sorbie, learning the legendary “Sassoon Way”, before branching out to create cutting edge trends in his own distinctive style, making him one of the most wanted hair stylists in the fashion industry. Working on the runway shows and understanding the visions of designers including Yohji Yamamoto, Maison Margiela (lead designer John Galliano), Chanel, Prada, Miu Miu, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Dries Van Noten, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney and many more.
Eugene Souleiman is a regular contributor to the most influential of fashion magazines including: Italian Vogue, British Vogue, French Vogue, US Vogue, L’Uomo Vogue, Numero, Self Service, i-D Magazine, Arena, Arena Homme Plus, W, Harper’s Bazaar, V Magazine, Another Magazine, Dazed and Confused and the New York Times.
